Dragonfruit Season!

Here is a very slow flipbook of the maturation of a dragonfruit bloom! This year my 1 neglected plant produced 5 buds: 1 which I accidentally knocked off, 1 which also gave up the good fight, and 3 that bloomed! Dragonfruit magically bloom for 1 night with a huge white flower. I was lucky to notice the buds were bursting and it was around full moon, and predicted I should check on them after the sun went down. 2 bloomed the first night and the 3rd the next night. I hand pollinated them just to be sure. And now my fingers are crossed they make sweet fruit and I pick them in time before the birds get them. Last year I had a single fruit which I let ripen too much on the plant so a bird enjoyed it first. (It was a sad day.)
